Point to Point Coronavirus and General Hygiene Policy
It is impossible to predict this disease; all we can do is follow Governments advice and contain the spread as much as possible.
It is our policy and we believe that we have the facilities and back up manpower to continue to provide both a Sameday and Overnight Service as normal, however we cannot be as confident with the International Service which we will be providing an update on our website as and when we know.
All of our Internal staff are able to work remotely if necessary and we have arrangements with other local APC Depots to use their warehouse facilities. We also have reciprocal arrangements with approved Fellow National Courier and Despatch Association Members to share workload if there is an epidemic throughout Point to Point, if this does happen, we will be encouraging customers to book On-Line or by Email.
All office staff and couriers at Point to Point are being issued with antibacterial wipes, sprays and personal tissue packs.
In the office environment all door handles, light switches, phones, computers and any hard surfaces are cleaned regularly with Disinfectant Spray. We have hand sanitisers on entrances and all workstations. Instructions Issued to All Staff, Drivers and Couriers.
To prevent the spread of any unwanted germs can we all take the necessary precautions to
keep healthy, wash your hands: wet your hands with clean, running water and apply soap. Lather your hands, including the backs, between your fingers, and under your nails and scrub for at least two verses of “Happy Birthday” and Rinse.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue
in the bin and wash your hands. If you do not have a tissue to hand, cough or sneeze into your elbow rather than your hands.
Accepting a Delivery
As you know on delivery our Courier will ask you to sign his PDA device to confirm delivery, these PDA`s will be sprayed regularly by the driver, however if you or any of your staff feel uncomfortable about this as long as we can take a picture of the delivery location please ask the courier to enter “CV” as the delivery code.
Throughout this difficult period Point to Point will endeavour to offer the best possible service and keep our customers updated by regular postings on the website.
