London Courier Company pioneers Internet System for tracking urgent deliveries
Point to Point, one of London's longest-established Couriers, has pioneered a new high-tech Internet system for booking and tracking all their urgent courier deliveries. With the company’s couriers soon to be equipped with PDA-type smartphones that beam back live information, the system will be one of the most advanced of its type in the world.
The system was developed together with web specialists NetDespatch of Marlow and computer company Plus Systems. It allows booking and tracking of Sameday, Overnight and International consignments through the web and is part of a newly integrated IT system.
Web-booked jobs appear immediately on control screens along-side telephone-booked jobs, and proof of delivery information for all types of deliveries are quickly available on the Point to Point web site.
Point to Point a five times winner of the National Courier Associations "Best Courier Company" run a fleet of 40 vehicles from motorcycles to LGV`s providing all Sameday , Nextday and International Courier Services.
Point to Point is a member of the National Courier Association (NCA), an extensive countrywide network of couriers who assist each other with collections and deliveries which gives them a genuine Nationwide service. Point to Point are also one of the primary agents for National Overnight company APC, servicing the majority of West London including the W1 post code.
